Marvelous Mechanized Magic Kingdom
A once-in-a-lifetime event will celbrate animatronics mechanical magic, from the shores of the jungle cruise to monorail beams, pirate ships, and beyond!
This September 18th, 2010 we'll celebrate 55 years of magic through the marvelous mechanical story of animatronics at The Disneyland Resort.
Just announced: Actor, magician, singer: Neil Patrick Harris will join the stellar line-up as host of the event. Prominent roles of his career include the title role in Doogie Howser, M.D., as well as the womanizing Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother. He has also hosted the 63rd Tony Awards and the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards.
Disney Legends and Imagineers will be on hand to share rare images, video, authentic props, animatronics and the following special presentations:

Bob will regale the audience with humorous stories encountered along the way during his illustrious career.

Reminiscing about their days at MAPO when animatronics were the latest invention are formerImagineers: Roger Broggie Jr., Corky Wilds, Rick Berryman, Gary Smestad, Rudy Pena, and Butch Borjidine.
With their acclaimed presentation on the history of animatronics, two of today's talented Imagineers, Larr Nicolai and Ethan Reed give a presentation rarely seen outside Walt Disney Imagineering.
Adding to the rich history of animatronics at Disneyland, Imagineer Josh Shipley will share his experience in bringing back the classic, "Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln".
Rounding out our MAPO presentation, Michael Broggie and Michael Campbell discuss Walt Disney and his magnificent trains.
It's Alive! - The Art and Science of Animatronics Programming
Darrin Hughes shows a rare demonstration of how these amazing mechanical wonders are programmed for lifelike motion.
The Next Generation - Advancements in Animatronics From Chuck E. Cheese to Dragons and Beyond! At 16 Garner Holt founded what would become the largest animatronics design and manufacturing company, Garner Holt Productions. He shares his fascinating story and premieres future advancements in the industry.
Special entertainment includes performances by Disneyland Resort entertainers and the Can Can girls from the Golden Horseshoe Revue!
