In July, the Disneyana Fan Club would like to invite you to join us in #CelebratingYourDisneyanaSide at our special anniversary event, which is also happening on Disneyland's 59th birthday!

We are very honored to announce even more special guests, who will be joining us at our celebration! Our current guest list feature many stars, including Mouseketeers from the Mickey Mouse Club, Spin and Marty (also from the MMC) and other former young performers from shows like Old Yeller, Daniel Boone, and Dennis the Menace.

Teaming up with Paul Petersen and his group, "A Minor Consideration" (http://www.minorcon.org), we are thrilled to offer a very special luncheon event for Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Disneyland Hotel in the Disneyland Resort - California, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

This event is also a fundraiser with an auction that will be supporting Paul's very important group, which gives guidance and support to many young performers of the past, present and future. You will also be able to meet our special guests during the event and possibly get a picture or an autograph with them, too!

The luncheon is $75.00 per person and we are opening up registration for everybody who would like to join in our celebration, including non-members of the Disneyana Fan Club. Also remember, this is a separate special event and it is NOT included in any of our DisneyanaMania convention packages.

The Disneyana Fan Club (formerly, the National Fantasy Fan Club - NFFC) began as a small group of disneyana fans back in 1984. This year, our club, which is still run entirely by volunteers... for all disneyana fans, is extremely proud in reaching the big THREE-O!

Over the past 30 years, we celebrated the legacy of Walt Disney and spotlighted many of the creative and talented cast members, Imagineers, artists, animators, actors, and other behind-the-scenes folks who continue with Walt's dreams and "Creating the Magic" for all of us to enjoy. We even honored executives, office staff and many others who would otherwise had remained anonymous behind the mouse.

Passing of Frank Pascale III (1956 - 2013)

It is with great sadness that we report the sudden passing of Frank Pascale III.

Frank served as President of the National Fantasy Fan Club, now known as the Disneyana Fan Club, for a record eight years. 

Frank started serving on the Board as Co-Vice President of Finance in 1987, Vice President of Finance in 1989 and Director-at-Large in 1991. Frank then started his four (4) terms as Club President in 1993. Frank ended his time as a Board member by serving as Director-at-Large (a positiion similar to the current, "Immediate Past President") during the 2001-2003 term.  Frank served on the NFFC/DFC Board of Directors for a total of 16 years.

We all feel privileged to have worked with him during his tenure as President/Board Member and we will always treasure his support and friendship during the many years that also followed. His smile, his laugh and the joy of just getting together with him is something that we will always cherish and we will miss greatly.

Please keep his wife Kathlene, his parents Dorothy and Frank Jr., and the Pascale Family in your thoughts and prayers.

At this time, we do not have information on any services or memorials for Frank. When we do find out, we will pass the information along. The Disneyana Fan Club is also planning on making a donation in Frank's memory, and we will pass along that information, in case anybody else would like to make an additional donation in Frank's memory, too.

If you would like to send a note to Frank's family, you may either post a comment on the Disneyana Fan Club's website or you may send a note via U.S. Mail to us and we will pass it along to the Pascale Family.

Animator Andreas Deja To Join Alice Davis and Bob Gurr at Ryman Arts Fundraising Event On Thursday, July 11, 2013

BREAKING NEWS REGARDING THE DFC/ RYMAN ARTS CHARITY DINNER ON THURSDAY, JULY 11, 2013:

The 100th Birthday Celebration of Marc Davis will include interviews with his widow, Disney Legend Alice Davis and co worker, Disney Legend Bob Gurr.

Recently, animator extrordinare, Andreas Deja, has agreed to be part of our spectacular panel. Andreas' presentation, also entitled, "The 100th Birthday of Marc Davis," will be showing slides of  the wonderful artwork that Marc Davis did during his lifetime. Andreas has done a similar presentation at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as well as at the recent Disneyland Club 33 event, both of which were sold out events. 

There are still a few seats left at the DFC/ Ryman Arts Charity Dinner. So, make your reservations immediately!!!!!!!

Arizona Chapter of Disneyana Fan Club Is Forming! Meeting on April 20, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona

A group of excited Disney fans are getting together on Saturday, April 20, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona to form an Arizona Chapter of the Disneyana Fan Club.  The meeting begins at 6PM,  and will be held at the following location:

February/March 2013 Disneyana Dispatch Newsletter Now Online for Members!

The new February/March 2013 Internet Edition of the Disneyana Dispatch Newsletter is now available for current Club Members in good standing to view in the Members area of the Website.  If you are a current Member and cannot view this issue and all 38 other issues that we have posted on our website, please send an email to the Webmaster, David Ransom, at: webmaster@disneyanafanclub.org, and he will resolve the issue!

The new issue of the Newsletter includes a profile of the "Plane Crazy" Chapter in Dayton, Ohio.  Also included is a review of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" -themed Convention Banquet held last July at our DisneyanaMania Convention.  There is also an article about Walt Disney's Granddaughter Joanna Miller's visit and presentation to the Club.  Finally, there is a writeup of our 2 February events, the Collectible Expo and Pin Event with PinPics.com, and the 1st Annual The Pinny Awards.

All Club Members also receive a Print Edition of our Newsletter, which is mailed to their homes.

Disneyana Fan Club Board Meeting To Be Held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Crowne Plaza Resort in Garden Grove, CA

Disneyana Fan Club's Board of Directors will hold its next meeting at Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort on Saturday, April 13, 2013 in Garden Grove, California (right down the street from Disneyland). The meeting will begin at 1230PM, in a meeting room to be announced.

All current Club Members are welcome to attend the meeting in person, or by Skype. If you would like to Skype into the meeting, please contact Gary Schaengold at: president@disneyanafanclub.org to make advance arrangements.

Every two years, as required by the By-Laws of the Disneyana Fan Club, a nominating Committee is appointed to assemble a slate of Board of Directors for the upcoming term of office. This year the committee members are Daron Sorg, Chair, Linda Rolls, Jason Waade, Dave Clark, and Ted Bradpiece. The Nominating Committee has been extremely fortunate to be able to draw on quite a range of talent for the nominees of the upcoming 2-year term of office for the Disneyana Fan Club Board of Directors.

Should a member, not appearing on this slate, wish to become a candidate he or she shall submit a petition of nomination to the Nominating Committee. The petition must be signed by twenty (20) current members, or one percent (1%) of the current membership of the Disneyana Fan Club, whichever is greater. The 1% of the Clubs present membership is less than 20; so 20 current members of the Disneyana Fan Club must sign the petition. The petition must be mailed to the Nominating Committee at Post Office Box 19212, Irvine, California 92623-9212, and be received no later than April 15, 2013.
If no valid petitions are received, the proposed slate shall be considered ratified. If a valid petition is received, the Board will hold an election to determine the winner of a contested office. Such an election, if necessary, shall take place on June 1, 2013, with ballots to members by May 15, 2013. All ballots must be returned by July 1, 2013 to be valid and counted. The new Board of Directors will be installed at the Annual Business Meeting of the Disneyana Fan Club during the upcoming DisneyanaMania Convention 2013 this July.
The above guidelines are set forth in the By-Laws of the Disneyana Fan Club. If you have any questions regarding the election process, please contact the Nominating Committee Chairperson, Daron Sorg at nominations@ DisneyanaFanClub.org.
