Disneyana Fan Club/PinPics Special Event - Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Crowne Plaza Resort in Garden Grove, CA

Disneyana Fan Club, in conjunction with PinPics.com, will hold a Special Event on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Crowne Plaza Resort in Garden Grove, California (just down the street from Disneyland!).  This Special  Event will last from 2PM until approximately 5PM.

The event in all about Pins and Pin Design, and will feature Disney Collectibles expert, Tom Tombush (of Tomart), and one of the Club's favorite Disney artists, Pin Designer and Artist Extraordinaire, Alex Maher!

There will be a limit of 50 Guests for this event.  We will do an announcement on our main website, our Facebook page, our Disneyana Dispatch blog and on Twitter, at least 10 hours before we open up online registration for this event.

***New note:  there will not be online registration for this event.  Registration will be by mail only, on a first-come, first-served basis,  and only by using the form that you can get by clicking here.

WANTED - Nominations for the 2013 - 2015 Board of Directors of Disneyana Fan Club

The Nominating Committee is now seeking members willing to contribute their time and energy to the Disneyana Fan Club as members of the National Board of Directors. The Term of Office is from July 2013 through July 2015. We are looking for people to fill the following positions:

Vice President of Finance (VPF) – shall act as Treasurer and manage all financial matters of the Club. The VPF shall collect and have custody of all funds of the Club and shall deposit the same in accounts designated by the Board. The VPF shall submit a brief account of all receipts and expenditures at all regular meetings.

Vice President of Chapters (VPC) – shall coordinate the formation of new chapters, and shall promote the continued growth of existing chapters. The VPC shall bring related matters before the Board. The VPC shall prepare an annual chapter development report.

Vice President of Media Relations and Communications (VPMRC) – shall manage, in coordination with the other officers and Board members, marketing and publicity, public and media relations, and other external communications. The VMRC shall prepare an annual media relations, communications and marketing plan.

Vice President of Membership (VPM) – shall manage all membership activities.  The VPM shall keep records of the membership. The VPM shall develop membership materials.  The VPM shall prepare an annual membership report.

Convention Coordinator (CC) – shall create a budget for and otherwise supervise all conventions.

Secretary – shall process all correspondence received by The Club, and shall record the minutes of all meetings, whether held in person or by electronic means. The Secretary shall serve as Sergeant-at-Arms for all meetings.

Editor-in-Chief (EIC)– shall coordinate all publications and website content of the Club.

Web Master – shall maintain the website and provide technical support, including the substantive organization and content of the website, assisting the VPMRC and other officers and Board members in timely posting information, documents, links, and other items for both the public and members/chapters.

Special Events Coordinator (SEC) – shall create a budget for and otherwise supervise all special event activities separate from conventions.

2 Directors-at-Large – shall serve in the capacity to help other Board members as needed.

Disneyana Fan Club Board Meeting To Be Held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Crowne Plaza Resort in Garden Grove

 Disneyana Fan Club's Board of Directors will hold its board meeting on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 12:30PM at the Crowne Plaza Resort in Garden Grove, California.  All Club Members are invited to attend.  Please note that we will be having 2 events on this day- a special event with pinpics.com at 2PM, and a pin trading event at 7PM.  See our Events section of the main Disneyana Fan Club website for more details about those events, or you will also find information about them on this blog!  Also note that our huge Collector's Expo will be the following day, Sunday February 17, 2013.

The Final Internet Edition of the Oct./Nov. 2012 Disneyana Dispatch Newsletter is available online free for anyone to view by visiting our main website at www.disneyanafanclub.org, or by simply clicking here. This edition of the newsletter includes coverage of our special trip with "Adventures by Disney", as well as an article about Disney Corporate Christmas Cards featuring famed Disney artist and Club friend Stacia Martin. There is also more coverage of our July 2012 DisneyanaMania Convention - the ASIFA Hollywood Panel on the movie "Aladdin".
