Partial Guest Lineup for Disneyana Fan Club's July 2011 Convention Announced!
The Disneyana Fan Club is proud to announce just a few of the illustrious guest speakers for our Convention in July.
Susan Egan, star of stage, film and television. Susan originated the role of Belle in "Beauty and the Beast" on Broadway, voiced Meg in the Disney animated film "Hercules", voiced characters in two feature films by Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki "Spirited Away" and "Porco Rosso", to name just a few of her credits.
Mark Henn, one of the top animators in the world today and a previous Disneyana Fan Club Legend. Mark will discuss his career in animation and why he is nicknamed the Ladies Man, a name which he inherited from famed animator Marc Davis. Mark has said that he may demonstrate drawing one of his "ladies" for our pleasure.
Bob Garner, well known producer and director. Bob directed for the 50th anniversary of D/L Disney Treasures....Secrets, Stories and Magic ...(of the Happiest Place On Earth). "Now, Then and Forever" was its working title. It is 90-minutes long and Bob plans on showing various clips from it and referring to those in his presentation.
Jim Hill of Jim Hill Media is a noted humorist and journalist. Jim will discuss Disney company news, reviews, commentary and history.
In the Author's panel will be the following with one more noted author possibly to be added:
Jim Korkis, well known author and speaker. Jim will discuss his new book "Walt's Vault".
Tom Sito, prominent American animator, animation historian and teacher. Tom will be bringing his book, "Timing for Animation".
Don Peri, author of Walt Disney's First Lady of Imagineering, Harriet Burns, will talk about his new book, "Working with Disney, Interviews with Animators, Producers and Artists".
We are in discussion with other prominent personalities in the Disney community and will announce them once they are confirmed. Watch our website and Facebook page for updates.

Space Available for Disney Family Weekend, April 1-3, 2011 in San Francisco, California
As previously announced, we are greatly honored to announce a very exclusive special event based out of San Francisco over the weekend of Friday, April 1 - Sunday, April 3, 2011 to honor the Disney family.
At the conclusion of the lottery registration process, we still have several openings and members may continue to register on a first come, first served basis, until March 15,2011 or as remaining space permits.
Although travel and accommodations are not included as part of the event package, for convenience purposes, we recommend that members stay at or near the landmarkPalace Hotel in San Francisco. www.sfpalace.com.
Event registration will be the morning of Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Palace Hotel starting at 9:00 a.m. We are hoping to have a reception area available with coffee andDanish.
At approximately 10:00 a.m., we will board a motorcoach bus to be driven to the Silverado Vineyards in Napa. We will receive a private tour and have the opportunity to participate in wine tastings. Dress comfortably. Either on the way there or on the way
back, there is a plan to stop at Gott's Roadside, formerly Taylor's Automatic Refresher, for lunch on your own. www.gottsroadside.com.
On Saturday, April 2, 2011, the bus will depart in the morning from the Palace Hotel, at a time to be announced, to the Walt Disney Family Museum within The Presidio of San Francisco. Each attendee will be provided a 2 day pass to cover admission for that day and Sunday as well, thereby ensuring that everyone has plenty of time to see everything.

The Disneyana Fan Club will be hosting a luncheon that Saturday at the Museum, catered by Wolfgang Puck, presenting our Heritage Award to the Disney family. Walt Disney's grandson, Walter E. D. Miller, has graciously agreed to attend and accept the award on behalf of the entire Disney family. Dress is business casual. Bus transportation back to the Palace Hotel will only be available when the Museum closes at 6:00 p.m.
On Sunday, April 3, 2011, there will be a group continental breakfast or light brunch at the Palace Hotel, time to be announced. Transportation to the Museum on Sunday is on your own.
The price for the entire weekend package is $425.00 per person. This will include the bus to Silverado Vineyards, the private tour at Silverado, the bus to and from the museum on Saturday, a 2-day admission to the museum (sorry, no discounts for
museum members), the Heritage Award Luncheon, and the Sunday morning meal at the Palace Hotel.
We are also offering a Saturday only ticket at $225.00 per person which includes the bus, a one day admission to the museum, and the Heritage Award Luncheon.
